3 festivals in a single weekend on art and new technologies in Lugano in the Canton of Ticino (Switzerland)
This year Lugano triples the offer of festivals linked to new technologies. After the experiences of past years, the time had come to provide some vertical content for the different communities and different interests linked to the world of digital avant-gardes.
On 14 and 15 June 2024 in Lugano it will be:
NFT Party: dedicated to Web3 communities and enthusiasts NFTs in all its many forms;
TECHNOLOGY Festival: focused on the world of start-ups, investors and the latest technological innovations;
WUF: acronym for “We Understand the Future”, a vertical format on new art forms linked to the latest technologies.
All this constitutes the Lugano digital weekendwhich will extend to the entire city and the Canton of Ticino.
Thanks to the collaboration between FFS and Lugano Living Lab (the city’s digital laboratory), the entrance tickets to the events will also be valid as transport tickets on public transport of the entire Arcobaleno fare community for the entire duration of their validity. Tickets can be booked at www.nft-fest.com. Participants will thus have the opportunity to easily reach Lugano from all over Ticino using the FREE public transport network.
The epicenter of the various celebrations will be the Town Hall and its Piazza della Riforma. Keynotes and podcasts by industry representatives and major influencers will be held inside the courtyard of the municipal building. And like last year, it will also be an opportunity to discuss and “clash” on the various delicate and important, and sometimes divisive, topics that concern technological innovation.
There will be space above all for innovations and the city will anticipate some strategic activities undertaken to facilitate the relocation of technological startups in the area.
Dozens of collateral events took place during those days, in a city that stands out for its lively activity in the month of June. At the gates of summer, by the lake, with a Mediterranean climate, schools just finished and lots of people around the city.
Michele Foletti, mayor of Lugano declares:

Friday 14 June 2024:
Start-Ups and investors will meet for Lugano incubator event at 10:00 am and some startups will be selected for the financing process promoted by Municipality of Lugano, SUPSI and Dfinity;
from 10:00 to 19:00 you can listen to various speeches, in pairs Main stage and podcast room stations on topics such as new technologies, investors and fashion.
Saturday 15 June 2024:
At 10:00 am Municipality of Luganotogether with institutional partners and foundations from the blockchain scene, they will be protagonists of a exclusive eventin which the city and its main partners will unveil important initiatives dedicated to the development of the crypto ecosystem;
from 10:00 to 19:00 they will alternate in the two various interventions Main stage and podcast room stations on topics like NFTs, art, gaming and new technologies.
Among the speakers of the 2024 edition there will be representatives of Tether, Bitget, Polygon, 1inch, ICP, OrangeDAO and many others.
