Consilium guides Di Maggio in the acquisition of Paesano and Sugo
Consilium Chartered Accountants successfully advised Di Maggio’s Restaurant Group (DRG) on the acquisition of three popular Glasgow-based restaurants.
The deal sees the Scottish hospitality giant acquire three of Glasgow’s hottest Italian restaurants, from the Paesano and Sugo brands. Founded in 2015 and 2019 respectively, they have become extremely popular, serving around 22,000 customers weekly.
Continuing a long-standing relationship between Consilium Chartered Accountants and DRG, the owners Mario Gizzi It is Tony Conetta contracted the services of a consultant John Blair.
When discussing the deal, Blair said: “As long-time advisors to Mario and Tony, bringing the Paesano and Sugo brands into the DRG family has been extremely satisfying.
“Everyone at Consilium Chartered Accountants is excited to support DRG as they continue to expand their portfolio of restaurants.”
The acquisition strengthens DRG’s position as one of Scotland’s premier restaurant groups, now comprising more than 20 sites including Amarone, Café Andaluz, Anchor Line and Di Maggio’s.
