Coins.ph Hack: Philippine Department of Justice Charges 2 Russian Citizens
Following the recent Coins.ph hacking incident, the Philippine Department of Justice (DOJ) has arrested and accused two Russian nationals allegedly behind the attack on the cryptocurrency exchange. The Philippines has charged Vladimir Evgenevich Avdeev with 23 counts of cybercrime and Sergey Yaschuck with three counts under Republic Act (RA) No. 10175, also known as the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
It was said that the Russians had illegal access Coins.ph systems were hacked and up to 340 million Philippine pesos, or 12.2 million XRP, were stolen.
Both were later believed to have attempted to cover their tracks and launder the stolen money across multiple cryptocurrency accounts and platforms after the attack.

PlayDoge flies to the market with the game P2E
One of the best performers last week was a new emerging coin called GiocaDoge ($PLAY)whose presale was already approaching $6 million after launch. This came in a still volatile market that had seen massive drops from Bitcoin, Ethereum, and others in the previous week, with PlayDoge rebounding as a new meme coin.
It is also known that PlayDoge was offered alongside a play-to-earn (P2E) game of the same name, similar to the previous trending experience in the world, NFT games.
The game is similar to the popular Japanese virtual pet game, Tamagochi, but caring for and educating the pet would help grow its assets. One PlayDoge coin sells for $0.0052.
The best cryptocurrency prices on the current market
Last week saw a great performance from the major cryptocurrencies in the market, and this was a significant rally for the coins after suffering massive losses in the past few weeks. It is known that Bitcoin recently dropped to as low as $53,000, but has now bounced back to around $67,000, and the same goes for Ethereum along with others.
