Hipflask Spirits strikes deal with Morrisons supermarkets
Award-winning Scottish spirits brand Hipflask Spirits has partnered with Morrisons supermarkets.
Four of the brand’s best-selling flavors will be available in six Scottish stores – Fort William, Auchinlea, Dundee, Perth, Gyle and Arbroath.
Created by Bothy Trading’s Kim Cameron, Angus-based Hipflask is aimed at adventurers and travelers. Unlike its handmade sister brand, Gin Bothy, Hipflask is designed for large-scale production.
The deal marks the brand’s second foray into supermarket stores, being selected as part of Aldi’s Next Top Product survey in 2021 and subsequently included in its Scottish stores for the Scottish Spirits Festival in the same year.
Kim Cameron, founder of Bothy Trading and Hipflask Spirits, said: “This partnership with Morrisons is an important milestone for Hipflask Spirits. We are excited to make our products more accessible to customers across Scotland through this collaboration.
“As a brand rooted in adventure and authenticity, we are excited to see our spirits traveling into new territories, inviting more people to join us on our next adventure.”
The deal comes at an exciting time of growth for Bothy brands, as Bothy Gin recently appeared in the swag bags at the 96th Academy Awards, with the Jam and Butter Bothies launching in 2023. Moving to new Forfar premises last summer, the in order to maximize production capabilities, develop new ranges and increase the number of employees.
Morrisons Local Sourcing Specialist for Scotland April Pollok said: “At Morrisons, we are always keen to support Scottish suppliers and the launch of the Gin Bothy team’s Hipflask Spirits range in a selection of our stores has already brought rave reviews from our customers and colleagues.
“We look forward to continuing to develop our relationship with the team at Gin Bothy and bringing their exciting range to a wider audience.”
