KPMG appoints Vishal Chopra as Scotland’s next senior partner
KPMG UK has appointed Vishal Chopra as its new senior partner for Scotland, taking responsibility for a team of more than 900 people across KPMG’s offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
He has been based in Scotland throughout his professional career and takes on a leading role, most recently leading KPMG’s Scottish tax team, working closely with firms across the region.
The leadership change will take effect from October 1st, as per James Kergonwho is moving to the firm to lead KPMG’s transaction services team in Leeds and the North East of England, leaves the role.
Chopra will continue to be a tax partner supporting his clients locally and internationally and will now also oversee the continued growth of KPMG’s audit, tax and advisory business across the region.
He brings over 21 years of experience and has been instrumental in driving growth and innovation across the company, with a strong commitment to creating a workplace where everyone feels empowered to reach their full potential.
