Ministry of Defense signs US$3 billion agreement with USA to purchase F35 jets

The Ministry of Defense has signed an agreement with the US administration to acquire the third squadron of F35 jets, the ministry announced on Tuesday.

The extent of the agreement is estimated at $3 billion from US monetary aid to Israel.

Earlier on Tuesday, Ynet reported that the Knesset finance committee approved the transfer of NIS 1.3 billion to the Ministry of Defense.

According to Ynet, the committee did not discuss the matter, but approved it as an urgent request.
