Greater scalability for future growth
With over 1.5 million active daily users, Ronin has become one of the largest gaming blockchains globally. Currently supporting 40 million transactions per day, the introduction of zkEVM prepares Ronin to handle expected transaction volumes in the billions, supporting its evolution as a key player in Web3 gaming.
Additionally, the team plans to integrate Polygon’s ZK prover into Ronin, allowing game studios to create zkEVM blockchains without the need to develop their own security and consensus mechanisms.
The integration of Polygon’s technology into Ronin zkEVM promises a seamless cross-chain experience and potential benefits such as increased staking rewards, fostering a vibrant and expansive gaming environment.
This strategic move highlights Ronin’s commitment to creating a unified Web3 gaming ecosystem by facilitating asset transfers, token exchanges, and NFT trading between layer-1 and layer-2 games.
