Syracuse University 2024-25 Budget to Significantly Expand Student Financial Aid – Syracuse University News

Syracuse University announced today that its 2024-25 budget will include a historic commitment to student financial aid. More than $372 million will be directed to support promising students — regardless of economic means — through financial aid, grants, scholarships and other assistance. The value reflects an increase of 8% compared to the previous year.
“We are focused on creating opportunities and providing access to talented students across the socioeconomic spectrum,” says Ryan Williams, vice president of enrollment services. “Our historic commitment to financial aid ensures that Syracuse University continues to be a place where students from diverse backgrounds can live, learn and thrive. After receiving a record number of applications this admissions cycle, we look forward to welcoming a remarkable group of students this fall.”
The Board of Trustees recently approved the following rates for tuition, room and board, and fees:
- tuition for full-time undergraduate students will be $63,710, a 3.9% increase;
- room rates for most new and returning full-time undergraduate students will be $10,500;
- administration fees increased by 3%; rate, which includes the Orange Unlimited dining plan that offers greater value and flexibility, is now $7,880;
- there will be no increase in the student activity fee;
- residential Internet and cable access and service fees will be $460;

Syracuse University currently strives to meet 100% of demonstrated need with financial aid awards that include scholarships and grants, federal and state grants, private scholarships and grants, federal student loans, and federal work study.
