Talos integrates DeFi with the acquisition of Skolem
Talos acquired Skolem to enable customers to integrate DeFi into their workflows, setting a new standard for digital asset OEMS and PMS.
Talos will enable customers to integrate DeFi into their workflows. This is the result of the recently announced acquisition of Skolem, a technology provider that allows institutional investors to access decentralized finance (DeFi) markets.
Skolem is known for its institutional-grade data and execution infrastructure that enables institutions to trade, stake, lend, and provide liquidity in DeFi.
The acquired company’s data infrastructure enables real-time streaming of on-chain pricing and metrics, while its user-driven execution technology includes pre-trade simulations, configurable alerts, automation orders and complete accounting of transactions.
A digital asset OEMS and PMS that integrates end-to-end DeFi
Talos believes that as institutional interest in DeFi increases, so will the demand for a complete technology stack capable of ensuring security, advanced user execution, and risk management when accessing protocols. . Talos is thus investing in the foundations necessary to enable institutions to interact with the complex DeFi ecosystem and integrate on-chain data into their workflows.
Anton Katz, CEO and co-founder of Talos, said: “DeFi is playing a growing role in the digital asset ecosystem and we have seen growing interest from crypto-native and traditional institutions. Institutional demand is driven by access to liquidity for a wider range of emerging assets as well as new digital asset deployment opportunities. Skolem’s pioneering technology will enable Talos to set a new standard for digital asset OEMS and PMS – one that integrates DeFi end-to-end.
This is not the first venture into DeFi. Last year, Talos integrated with Uniswap, the largest decentralized exchange, to enable customers to trade thousands of assets more efficiently, in a familiar order book format, using Talos algorithms. Talos has also integrated with Figment, the institutional infrastructure provider for Ethereum staking, making shared client staking activity visible on the Talos platform.
Talos’ M&A activity has also seen the company acquire Wall of cloudsthe digital asset risk management technology provider, as well as D3X Systems and its suite of portfolio engineering tools for systematic investors.
Talos has partnered with TP ICAP and Crossover Markets

By partnering with the FCA-regulated market structure company, the institutional digital asset trading technology provider will be able to further facilitate institutional adoption of digital assets amid accelerated growth in crypto markets -currency, supported by the US SEC’s approval of Bitcoin ETFs and by the EU. MiCA comes into force this year.
